Mariner is a sleek and graceful 54' mahogany yawl, built to exacting standards in 1950 by the world renowned abeking & rasmussen yacht yard. This rare classic has been lovingly maintained by the same family for generations. They invite you to come sailing in the grand style of yesterday today. Become a part of the mariner experience

Mariner's design was commissioned by Arthur Homer, president of Bethlehem Steel Co. He sought a yacht able to cruise in comfort, or race and win. The great American yacht designer, John G. Alden, sculpted her lines to satisfy these requirements and under her original name SALMAGAL II she fulfilled those goals. Throughout the years, this yacht has remained the favorite of her original owner, among numerous others commissioned both before and after her.

Mariner's underbody, with her long full keel, followed by a "constellation" style rudder, in combination with her balanced yawl rig, makes her a delight to sail. Her versatile sail plan offers a large variety of sail combinations for sailing in the lightest zephyrs, to easily handling robust ocean conditions.
